NJ Students treated to “Tosca”

February 8th, 2016

Tosca 2

Nottingham High School Italian 3, 4 students in Hamilton Township, NJ under the leadership of Professor and World Languages Department Chair, Frank A. Campione, J. D. recently attended the production of one of the world’s most beloved operas by Giacomo Puccini’s, “Tosca” at Lincoln Center in New York City. This once in a lifetime opportunity for students to see and hear the full production of Tosca, enabled the students to enhance and enrich their cultural appreciation of another art form of music as part of their study of opera.

After the opera the students and adults that attended dined at a lovely restaurant in New York City hosted through the kindness and generosity of Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Moscatelli.

The students who had never seen a full production of an opera before were duly impressed and excited to have been given this extraordinary opportunity in what proved to be an educationally rewarding learning experience. The program was sponsored by the Italian American Committee on Education (IACE) in collaboration with the New York City Opera. Mr. Campione also serves on NJIHC’s Board of Academic Advisors.
