Montclair State University Opera directed by Jeffrey Gall and the MSU Symphony conducted by Christian Capocaccia present EROTIC MADNESS! This fully staged operatic double bill features two rarely-performed short masterworks from the Italian repertory: Handel’s pasticcio Lungi da te (Far from You) and Donizetti’s one-act farce Il giovedì grasso (Fat Thursday).

Presented in collaboration with Coccia Foundation and the Coccia Institute for the Italian Experience in America at Montclair State University, EROTIC MADNESS! explores the tragicomic consequences of infatuation as only the greatest composers of the Italian operatic tradition can.
