LOVE IS A MADNESS…
Boheme Opera NJ will mount a fully-staged production of Gaetano Donizetti’s ill-fated romance about the emotionally fragile Lucy Ashton, who is forced by her power-hungry brother to marry a man she does not love. Based loosely on a Sir Walter Scott novel, Lucia di Lammermoor is set in 17th century Scotland, with some of opera’s most well-known music. These two performances will take place in Kendall Main Stage Theatre at The College of New Jersey, complete with stunning digital set design and period costumes. The production will be sung in Italian with projected English supertitles and will star soprano Dana Pundt in the title role, with tenor Glenn Seven Allen as Edgardo and baritone Daniel Sutin as Enrico. The Boheme Opera Orchestra, Chorus and Cast will be under the baton of Boheme Artistic Director Joseph Pucciatti. Manhattan’s Jamibeth Margolis is Stage Director.
Patrons attending the opera are also invited to a Pre-Performance chat to be held in the theater one hour before curtain.
