Rossella Merlino (University of Bangor, UK, and Visiting Fellow at Seton Hall) will be giving a talk entitled “The mafia as a ‘Southern Question’: apology, cultural representations, and otherness.” Her research focuses on the cultural dimension of Italian organized crime, with a specific reference to the Sicilian mafia and religion, on which she has published several articles in international journals.
