NJIHC Collodi Award Presentation – On Friday April 29th, the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission presented Frank Campione with the Commission’s Collodi award. The award recognizes a New Jersey educator who has done an exceptional job at integrating Italian and Italian American material into the classrom by drawing upon lessons from the NJIHC Universality of Italian Heritage Curriculum. The award is named after Carlo Collodi, Italian creator of the famous fairy tale Pinocchio. View article and pictures

Italian Heritage Curriculum presented at Ocean County College (OCC) – We want to thank all the great presenters and attendees who participated in our “Universality of Italian Heritage” Curriculum Presentation on May 17th. The event featured testimonials from administrators, teachers, and even students from Oakcrest high school, to the effectiveness of the Curriculum. Attendees learned how to integrate this significant educational tool for preserving and promoting Heritage for all students from kindergarten to the undergraduate level. View pictures!
