The Italian American Association of Monmouth County is an organization that was formed to promote the Italian American Culture. The association sponsors events such as Tombola, La Befana, Carnevale, Italian lessons for young children, teens, and adults. We also feature an Italian Summer Enrichment camp for two weeks in the summer where children, learn the Italian language, Italian cooking and perform a showcase of songs and plays in Italian at the end of the program. Members meet every Tuesday night in the spring to enjoy a game of bocce! Monthly meetings feature guest speakers that target different aspects of Italian culture, heritage, and reminders of the adversity our ancestors overcame that define the proud and accomplished ethnic group that we are today.
